Samurai

I just read about the samurai in the book, Sam Samurai, and thought that I should share this on the blog site.  The Samurai originated in Japan.  Now you may think of the samurai as just plain awesome warriors, but that is not everything a samurai does.  A samurai is also an artist and a poet.  Bushido is the way of the warrior( the 7 martial arts of a samurai) Fencing, archery, spearmanship, jujutsu, horsemanship, firearms, and military strategy are the 7 arts.  Different Samurai had different armor and carried unique flags into battle.

    The map you have posted has the red dots in the wrong places (close to the correct place, but actually incorrect). From an educational point of view it is better to have an accurate map, otherwise you are not educating, but misinforming. Also you don’t list Osaka or Sapporo, both important cities in Japan. So I advise you to post a better map please.

    I just read something about how people hired Samurai to protect their village from thieves and other people who might force them to give them rice and goods.
